Firefly Portable Vaporizer Review
One of the nicest vaporizers is the Firefly Portable Vaporizer, but there are some downsides to the model. The Firefly is a quality household vape but some of the features make the Firefly not the best vaporizer to take out and about with you.
How the Firefly Works
The Firefly vaporizer uses a convection heating method that uses software that is able to raise the vapor temperature from 37 degrees Celsius to 205 degrees Celsius (100 °F to 400 °F) in a quick 10 seconds according to smokedoc.org.
The custom draws are perfect with the Firefly in that for a lighter vapor you will just need to draw for a shorter period of time. If you want a stronger draw then you just take a longer draw. As you are in complete control you can enjoy the perfect draw each and every time.
The Firefly bowl should not be packed to tightly as the firefly requires a packed bowl like that of a pipe and lighter unlike the Pax.
Loading and Cleaning the Firefly
In regards to the packing and the cleaning of the Firefly vaporizer it is easier than others but you will need to clean it regularly.
There is a wide mouth and inwardly sloped sides at the heating chamber which then makes the loading and unloading of ground aromatic blends much easier.
There is a magnetic lid that has an open vapor path which is fully exposed when the lid is removed. This allows the Firefly vaporizer to be quickly brushed clean or rinsed in the sink with cold water.
One charge of the Firefly battery will give you about 45 minutes of use or 40 draws, but the battery does increase the weight of the unit. However, the battery is interchangeable so you are able to get other batteries for the unit instead of having to charge it all the time. You will be able to get through a day with just two batteries.
The Firefly vaporizer is built solidly but it is heavy.
